Green Shoots Pre-school in Bear Flat opened its doors in September 2013 to the local and wider community. We are a small friendly family team and enjoy our days in the lovely community hall on Bruton Avenue. Children start with us from 2 years old as a caterpillar and then move up to a pre-school butterfly when they are 3 and 4 years old. "We’ve had a great experience with Green Shoots. Our daughter was very shy and now she is leaving for school, she is a very happy and confident child. The staff treat each child individually and meet all their needs. They are nurturing and encouraging. The activities are brilliant, with visits to allotments and to sing for residents in a care home. I would highly recommend this pre-school!"

"What a wonderful and warm environment for our toddler to grow and develop. The staff at Green Shoots were so accommodating, flexible, friendly, and fun! I have sent my children to other nurseries which had nicer settings but I prefer Green Shoots because I have to come to learn that the people looking after your child are way more important than location or setting. As a parent Green Shoots made me feel listened to and confident that my child was getting the best care and having the most fun. I highly recommend this nursery in Bath."

Healthy Choices, Healthy Lunches

All our snacks and meals are prepared and made on site with love and care by our cook Jo, who makes them interesting, flavoursome and healthy.
We all eat together at Green Shoots, adults and children sharing the same delicious food and celebrating trying new things. We purchase our meat, vegetables and fruit from our local Butchers and Grocers who deliver fresh to our door. |

Behind the scenes
Every child matters to us. We work closely with parents to create the best possible opportunities for individual children to grow and learn in a fun, engaging and nurturing environment. We use the Early Years Foundation Stage as a framework to support our practice, knowledge and provision for children aged between two and five years. As a pack-away setting with a fully equipped resource cupboard, we have the flexibility to change and adapt our resources and layout to suit the needs of the children in our care.
