Staff have high expectations of all children and create a well balanced curriculum. They give an extremely strong focus to promoting children's personal, social and emotional wellbeing. Children, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) and those with English as an additional language (EAL), make continually good progress.” Ofsted May 2024

Our Vision
To provide a safe, happy and stimulating environment where every child is valued as a unique individual, nurtured within a caring pre-school community, and encouraged to be curious, explore and make sense of the world around them.

Our Values

We believe every child has an equal chance to learn and develop, every child should feel safe and know they belong, and every child should be supported to feel confident about their identity.

Children and adults have “can do” approach towards all aspects of learning and development, giving everyone the opportunity to go the extra mile.

We view p
arents and carers as a child’s first and most important educators and our key person approach supports relationships between home and pre-school, giving each child a unique and tailored experience that nurtures their personal, social and emotional development.

We strive to promote partnership with parents in all aspects of the pre-school’s provision, from ‘parent post-it’s’ to ‘parent involvement’ when reviewing and updating policies.

Green Shoots embeds child-led learning, physical activity, healthy living, storytelling, singing, makaton, letters and sounds and science into its daily pre-school provision.

Our
employees are valued and supported to deliver quality childcare through regular effective supervision and appraisals.

The
Early Years Foundation Stage framework and guidance is fully implemented to ensure that a child’s right to be included is at the heart of our practice.

We strive to support and build partnerships across the local area and with other Early Years settings which enriches the children's experience and life choices.
